Christmas 2016

I sang with my guitar at our women's Relief Society Christmas social. Below, I was rehearsing.

Andrea came home from BYU-Idaho, in preparation for her mission.  She left a lot of her things with Erika, who came to Rexburg to get them and take them back to Boise. It was nice to have her home at Christmas.

Julia and Matt were here.  Sorry, no pictures. :(

Daniel and Meg went to Texas, but we saw them throughout.

Daniel and Meg (and Claire) move to Maryland

Dan and Dave getting warm by the fire

Daniel graduated from BYU in April.  He and Meg stayed in Utah until August when Meg graduated.   Meg’s parents helped them drive their belongings out here in their two cars.

Daniel was fortunate to have a great job waiting for him in Maryland in his new field of Statistics.

They  have been staying with us until they find a place that of their own.

New Kitchen in Basement

We decided to add a kitchen to the basement.  Daniel, Meg and Claire will be living with us awhile, and it seemed helpful to equip the space for them.

We are happy with the results!

Boise Reunion Slideshow

Andrea put together a fabulous slideshow of our family reunion on Boise. We had all of our children and their families with us, as well as my Mom and Craig.  We had such a wonderful time.  Click on the 2 1/2 minute slideshow here

We had seven couples in the temple together!

Grow Strong!

Grow Strong! has been released by Free Spirit Publishing.  It is the eighth book of the series, "Being the Best Me".  I am very pleased with the illustrations and how it turned out, and hope that many children are able to use it.

Daniel graduates from BYU

Dave and I flew out to Salt Lake City for Daniel's graduation from BYU in Statistics.

We visited with Dan, Meg and Claire at their apartment.  Julia and Matt also live in Provo.

This was the Commencement ceremony on April 21 with all the graduates

I was glad my Mom was also able to come up from Southern Utah to be with us.

                                                         Yay, Daniel!
Graduating from this great university is a 'bridge to their future'.

The next day, April 22, was Convocations in the respective colleges.

After graduation, Dan gave us a tour of campus and where he studied.

Lunch in town.  Claire's first time in a booster seat.

We bowled on campus, watched a BYU Baseball game that evening
and enjoyed the feelings of relief,  joy and pride in Dan's important accomplishment, and of being together with our family.

Boston with Andrea and Kara's family

Andrea is home from college, so we decided to take a long awaited trip to Boston.  It was the first time for Dave and I, as well.  We drove up to Kara and Luke's house first to see them and their new house in Saratoga Springs.  Then we met up again in Boston for the weekend before the Boston Marathon.

It was a very beautiful spring day, and the Bostonians were very friendly and helpful! I was particularly interested in the Revolutionary War period, and seing Paul Revere's house that was built in 1680.  It made a great family outing!
